The 125 Alumni of the Inaugural Governor's Cup Summer Camp

The Kentucky Association for Academic Competition announces its second annual Governor's Cup Academic Camp for current 6th and 7th grade students.

Scheduled for June 17-21 at Georgetown College, the camp will feature daily assessment and Quick Recall buzzer work, handouts and direction for future study. A final tournament will be held on the last day of camp, with awards for the top players.

Areas of Study
Campers select one "Major" and two "Minor" areas of study from among these options:

  • Social Studies

  • Language Arts

  • Arts & Humanities

7:30 AM - 8:20 AM Breakfast
8:30 AM Meet in Rec. Center
8:45 - 11:15 AM Major work
11:30 - 12:30 PM Lunch

1:00 - 2:00 PM Quick Recall Practice
2:15 - 3:00 PM Minor 1 Work

4:00 - 4:45 PM Recreation Activity

6:30 PM Meet in Rec. Center

Staff
Our camp director is Matt Knupp from Russell Independent Schools. Camp staff include some of the most successful academic coaches in the state.
