Future Problem Solving Procedures

This year we plan to include FPS as part of our tournament.  Teams competing in FPS must register before the deadline.  Each school is limited to one FPS team to allow for processing and scoring of booklets.  On Monday December 3, 2018, the FPS future scene will be e-mailed to all teams competing.  Each school will hold a 2 hour FPS session on Monday or Tuesday.  Then each school will scan and email or fax booklets to ECMS by 11:00 a.m. CST Wednesday, December 5, 2018.  Our FPS coordinator will then collect the booklets, prepare them for scoring, and send booklets to schools to be scored.  Each school will be responsible for scoring booklets other than their own.  Scoresheets will then be faxed or scanned and emailed to ECMS where the scores will be recorded in ASAP.  We would like to have the scores by 8:00 p.m. CST Friday, December 7, 2018, but will accept them until 9:00 a.m. CST on December 10, 2018.

English Composition Procedures

We will offer English composition.  Any school with students entering English composition must furnish a reader/grader. On Monday December 3, 2018, the composition prompt will be e-mailed to all teams competing.  Each school will hold a 90 minute session on Monday or Tuesday.  Then each school will scan and email or fax the composition sheets to ECMS by 11:00 a.m. CST Wednesday, December 5, 2018.  Our composition coordinator will then collect the composition sheets, prepare them for scoring, and send compositions to schools to be scored.  Each school will be responsible for scoring composition pieces other than their own.  Scoresheets will then be faxed or scanned and emailed to ECMS where the scores will be recorded in ASAP.  We would like to have the scores by 8:00 p.m. CST Friday, December 7, 2018, but will accept them until 9:00 a.m. CST on December 8, 2018.
