IMPORTANT: Update Your School Contact Information Online TODAY!
In order for us to communicate effectively with you, we have to have your school’s most current information on file. For us to do this, we need your help. Your password for updating your contact information was included on the mailing label of the August Kentucky Academic Insider. This is your school’s access key to enter the secure “coaches only” sections of kaac.com.
If you have not already done so, use this password and go to kaac.com and update your school’s information. Even if nothing has changed from last year, you must update your school data online.
Please do this as soon as possible, so that we can better serve you as we begin preparation for the 27th annual Governor’s Cup competition!
KAAC Event Information at Your Fingertips
If you are attending this year’s Conference, your special giveaway will be a flash drive pre-loaded with these documents (and more):
- Governor’s Cup Coaches’ Manual
- Quick Recall Manual and Forms
- FPS Training Manual, Forms and Training Workbook
- JV Challenge Coaches’ Guide
- Kentucky Colonels’ Sixth Grade Showcase Coaches’ Guide
- FPS Component Event Information
If no one from your school is attending Conference, we will send you a link to these documents in October. You will then have all these important documents, and more, at your fingertips! This gives you the ability to do a text search and bring up exactly the information you need. You are free to print as many copies of each document as you wish. Make sure to share these documents with the other coaches at your school. Thanks for helping us reduce the paper we use!
IMPORTANT! JV CHALLENGE AND SIXTH GRADE SHOWCASE COACHES
The schools that are hosting JV Challenge and Sixth Grade Showcase deserve to be notified far enough in advance to give them time to prepare. Because of this, KAAC CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT LATE REGISTRATIONS FOR JV CHALLENGE AND SIXTH GRADE SHOWCASE.
The JV Challenge deadline for registration is October 4. The Sixth Grade Showcase deadline is October 11. Schools not registered by these dates will not be able to compete in either event.
Post-Conference Quick Recall and FPS Certification
After the KAAC Conference, KAAC offers over 150 Quick Recall and Future Problem Solving certification clinics to coaches and officials statewide. These clinics are free of charge and are being posted online as we receive dates from our trainers.
If you are serving this year as a Governor’s Cup Quick Recall coach, Quick Recall official, FPS Coach or FPS evaluator, you must attend either the Conference or at one of these post-Conference clinics.
Governor’s Cup Practice Questions
To help teams prepare for Governor’s Cup by playing on KAAC-style questions, KAAC offers practice question sets that may be used for leagues, tournaments, scrimmages or individual team practice. These are not recycled or past Governor’s Cup questions, but new questions written by the same writers who write for Governor’s Cup. By popular request, we now offer a choice of two packages AND volume discounts.
Package 1
- Fifteen Quick Recall rounds
- Two Written Assessment exams in each subject area
- One Composition prompt and one FPS Future Scene
- High School: $105 per school; Middle Grades: $85 per school; Elementary: $65 per school
